15 Alaska playwrights make Last Frontier cut
A staging of "The Sunset Clause" by Fairbanks playwright Ann Hanley at 2007's Last Frontier Theatre Conference.
From your recordbreaking pool of 270 submissions, just 62 plays were chosen, including operates by Anchorage playwrights Linda Billington, Ryan Buen, Rita A. Miraglia, P. Shane Mitchell, Mark Muro, Casey Prout and Mark Stoneburner.
The conference schedule continues to be in flux, but you can find plans to highlight another Anchorage playwright: On June 16, Three Wise Moose will do Arlitia Jones' play "Sway Me Moon," which premiered in February at Out North.

I want to encourage every theater artist and patron to participate in this conference. I have rearranged my agenda for on the dozen several years to consume as much of becoming possible and possess didn't have it been under fantastic. It is my annual strategy for touching base with colleagues from outside the state, visiting a week of shows, getting new ideas and in general recharging my artistic battery.
