15 Alaska playwrights make Last Frontier cut
A staging of "The Sunset Clause" by Fairbanks playwright Ann Hanley at 2007's Last Frontier Theatre Conference.
From the recordbreaking pool of 270 submissions, just 62 plays were chosen, including operates by Anchorage playwrights Linda Billington, Ryan Buen, Rita A. Miraglia, P. Shane Mitchell, Mark Muro, Casey Prout and Mark Stoneburner.
The conference schedule remains in flux, but you can find promises to highlight another Anchorage playwright: On June 16, Three Wise Moose will conduct Arlitia Jones' play "Sway Me Moon," which premiered in February at Out North.

I wish to encourage every theater artist and patron to participate in this conference. I've rearranged my diary for on the dozen several years to take in as many of becoming possible and still have never had it been under fantastic. It's my annual way of touching base with colleagues from outside the state, seeing a week of shows, getting new ideas plus general recharging my artistic battery. I've added a web link bellow to enable you to all look into the awesome array of guest artists this coming year.
Thanks Dawson, Doug and Prince william Sound College for making it possible. And thanks Sarah because of this great article. The arts need all of the media support we can easily get.
