My research real question is this: Why did only part of America attack Lower and upper Canada?
Well it seems like to never have a clear explanation to start with, however when I had dug for that facts a bit, it became clear.
To begin with the British were engaged in the Napoleanic Wars so there was obviously a blockade available preventing trade with France. Those who supported world war 2 were mainly the South and West of the usa. The South and West wanted more land, also they considered that whenever they could get rid of the British incitement from the Indians they would gain that land as well. Since the idea of invading spread, a lot more representatives moved up. These representatives were dubbed Hawks
Individuals that have been from the invasion and war were mainly New Englanders who did not desire to damage their trade relations by opposing Britain. Additionally, they failed to need to fight Britain, as it appears to be like these were helping France because Britain was involved in war together too. The newest Englanders and Federalists held a secret meeting at Hartford Connecticut.
After the War was ended by the Treaty of Ghent, USA was unified with the victory at New Orleans, get rid of world war 2 sealed the fate in the Federalists which never regained it power.
