My research real question is this: Why did only a part of America attack Lower and upper Canada?
Well it seems like to not possess a clear explanation initially, but once I had dug for your facts somewhat, it became clear.
To start the British were involved in the Napoleanic Wars there was obviously a blockade in position preventing have business dealings with France. Those who supported the war were mainly the South and West of America. The South and West wanted more land, also they considered that should they could get rid of the British incitement of the Indians they would gain that land too. Because the idea of invading spread, a growing number of representatives stepped up. These representatives were dubbed Hawks
The folks which are contrary to the invasion and war were mainly New Englanders who failed to want to damage their trade relations by opposing Britain. In addition they did not wish to fight Britain, because it would appear like we were holding helping France because Britain was involved in war with these too. The modern Englanders and Federalists held a secret meeting at Hartford Connecticut.
Following the War was ended from the Treaty of Ghent, USA was unified through the victory at New Orleans, no more the War sealed the fate from the Federalists which never regained it power.
